I’ve been living in NZ for 6 years. I get here in 2006 with my partner, only us and now we are three. I have two beautiful boys who are my treasure. The oldest is Salvador and any time I find myself looking at him us a woman in falling love, he is the most kind kids I have ever see before. My second baby is Gabriel, he is just in ten month and he is completely different from Salvador. I imagine him as a strong person. He always is trying to communicate with everyone and if the others haven’t notice and even heard him, he start to shout as much as he can until the person turn the head and smiled him.
Tonight while we were having dinner Claudio told me: tomorrow Salvador will in bad mood, because he is a moon person and I thought of course he is like me, one day up on the sky and the next in the bottom of the hole. Today I was not only flying and dreaming, today I felt happy all day. Thinking about to do something that I really want to do, without thinking in money, or prejudices, just thinking what I want to write or to film, and the answer was: woman.
I have finish to read the last Marcela Serrano’s book called 10 mujeres, and after that I want to say I am in love with my gender. I want to talk about woman, different kind of woman, I don’t want to represent only a one kind of person as a mother or professional because in my mind all women have common sense and every day they are bringing up to this world feelings.
I want to know why they are here, what they are doing every day, in his free time if they have it. I want to know why they chose to be a mum or because some of them are not mum yet, why they chose a profession and besides why they change the way and start studying another degree completely different, and because also there are woman who doesn’t want to study.
All women are in my mind. Different persons, different ages, different countries, different lives, different dreams and different choices.
